history
According to the decree of Kārlis Ulmanis, the president at that time, one of the most modern fishing ports in those days was built in Skulte. In 1939 K.Ulmanis opened the newly built port.
During the Soviet times the port was neglected and forgotten. Only small fishing boats had access to the port.
The Skulte Terminal commenced its operation with the aim of developing the infrastructure of the Port of Skulte and to start cargo reloading in the Port.
By the amount of reloaded cargoes the port of Skulte (where the Skulte Terminal operates) is the fourth biggest port in Latvia. The private capital in the amount of approximately 11 million Euros has been invested in the infrastructure of the Skulte Terminal.
